Celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week!
Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) has just started. During one week each November, thousands of events and competitions around the world inspire millions to engage in entrepreneurial activity while connecting them to potential collaborators, mentors and even investors.
The overarching goal of GEW is to bring awareness to resources for future entrepreneurs. It is a time to celebrate entrepreneurs and to thank them for their important contributions to the community’s prosperity. It is also an opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs to explore their potential and to connect with the resources and tools they need to turn their visions and ideas into growing businesses.
This annual event occurs over the span of one week and includes the participation of millions of entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, researchers, educators, entrepreneurship support organizations and interested individuals. GEW expanded to 180 countries – building and strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems around the world. These countries celebrate #GEW2020 running national campaigns that generate approximately 40,000 events, activities and competitions. In the United States alone, nearly 5,000 events, activities and competitions are planned.
GEW reaches millions of people through local, national and global events and activities – framed by key global themes that shine a spotlight on leading topics in entrepreneurship. Removing barriers and welcoming all! This week is loaded with events for entrepreneurs, innovators and business leaders. You’ll find plenty of options to tailor to your needs. Check your calendars!
